Final Post

Hey everyone this is my final post on my 8th grade page. In this post i will review what we learned in class this year and what my favorites where.

1. Astronomy

I didn't really have a favorite topic in astronomy, the best part of it was it got me to realize that the world is actually small. and compared the the universe the human race is microscopic!

1. Weather and Climate
I have to give the men and women who do the weather on T.V. credit, this section to me was hard and confusing but at the same time it was fun too. My favorite was learning about air masses and weather fronts, knowing what type of storm is coming is really cool. (At least for me) http://www.opensciencegrid.org/images/weather_RH_fig2_L.jpg

1. Geology

Rocks, no big deal right? Wrong. Most people think that rocks are well, rocks but there are also minerals such as Quarts and Gold. I think that finding out how rocks form and what type of rock they are is really cool.

1. Weathering and Erosion

My favorite part of weathering and erosion was mass movment. Seeing how movment like creep could affect how things like streets and houses along with natural things like trees and plants.

1. Earth's Waters

Ok we spent a LOT of time on water so I can't pick a favorite but I liked learning about the importants of water and how privliged we are to have running water in our homes.
